Paneer Sandwich
This makes excellent & yummy breakfast. We also carried the filling separately for a picnic & proved to be a very good snack.
INGREDIENTS
- Bread slices - 6
- Paneer - 100 gms
- Tomato - 2 med sized - chopped
- Onion - 1 - chopped
- Green chilly - 1 - 2 (according to taste)
- salt to taste
- chilly powder / chilly flakes to taste
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp - finely chopped
METHOD
- Heat oil in a pan add green chilly & onion & saute till onion gets translucent
- Put the paneer in hot water & leave it aside for 5 - 10 mins. Take it out & grate the paneer
- To the grated paneer add little salt & chilly powder and keep aside
- After the onion is cooked add tomates & little salt & cook till the raw smell of tomato disappears.
- Now add the grated paneer and the chipply powder or flakes in this & cook for a minute
- After turning off the gas add chopped coriander & mix well
- Place this between the bread slices & have it straight or have it grilled. It will taste great both ways.
VARIATIONS
- You could substitute the tomato for spinach for Palak Paneer Sandwich
- You could also use other veggies instead of paneer... have a Corn & spinach / tomato filling
- If you like cheese then add shredded cheese before grilling the sandwich
